Distance from Bai Gali: 14 minutes
At Mitzpe HaShalom, the Sea of Galilee spreads out in all its splendor at your feet. Beyond it is the city of Tiberias and above it rises the Poria ridge. Mount Tabor also stands out with its round dome. On the southern shore of the Sea of Galilee are the Jordan Valley kibbutzim and the regional center in Zemach.
On days with good visibility you can see The Carmel, which is about 60 km from here. In the north are the Harbel cliffs and the Upper Galilee mountains, including Mount Miron, Mount Canaan and the city of Safed.
From the observatory you can go on a short excursion in the Mtsok Haon Nature Reserve, which includes water sources, fruit orchards and unique blossoms. The route starts at the stairs to the left of the observatory and is marked in blue. The route is circular and about a kilometer long. On the route is the Spring of Peace, a charming little pool hidden in the thickets and recommended for a dip on a hot day.
